Brass Band
The
Camberwell Citadel Band was formed in 1911 and since has built up a reputation
as one of Australia’s finest brass bands. It has toured every Australian
state and has made overseas tours to New Zealand (1976,
1991 and 2009),
USA, Germany and Britain(1982), Singapore, Switzerland, Denmark,
Sweden, Norway and England (1987), Finland, Russia,
USA and Canada (1994), and Indonesia (2013).
The
band is committed to playing music of the highest standard to the glory of
God. Salvation Army music has the dual purpose of providing entertainment
and a means of taking the Gospel message to those who will listen, whether that
is in indoor worship services, on the concert stage or in the streets of the
community.
